Magic: The Gathering's next Secret Lair drop

For almost 30 years, Magic The Gathering has been delivering all the mana-tapping you can get your hands on, and since the early days of the tabletop card game, things have changed a lot. One of the changes is the offering of Secret Lair drops--limited edition sets of cards you can only order from Wizards of the Coast, which are typically "reskinned" existing cards based around a theme. The next set of Secret Lair cards is an ultimate crossover with Fortnite.

The Secret Lair drop will go on sale on July 21 at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET, and it can be purchased on the Secret Lair site. Wizards of the Coast sent us an early copy of the upcoming set to check out. We're unsure if this is the final packaging for the product though--so take the unboxing part of this gallery with a grain of salt. Past Secret Drops--like the Walking Dead one--have been a bit more compact.

Keep in mind, this is a collector's edition of exclusive Magic: The Gathering cards, so it is going to come with a heftier price tag. Previous drops range from $40-$400 (depending on whether or not you want those sweet, sweet foil cards). There's no price listing for the Fortnite set at this time and no further info about it--outside of these photos and the on-sale date. So here's everything inside the Fortnite Secret Lair drop.

Boxes in boxes

Upon opening the Secret Lair drop, you're treated to a couple of boxes, one labeled "Landmarks and Locations" and the other just labeled "Secret Lair x Fortnite." Each one of these boxes holds seven cards.

More boxes

There are boxes upon boxes inside, which will eventually lead you to the 14 cards within this set. There is a lot of packaging in order to get to the cards, too much in fact.

Anyways, packaging aside, here are the cards inside the Secret Lair drop and what they do.
