As it does each month, Circana has released its latest monthly sales report, shining a light on how the US video game industry is performing from a business perspective. Total sales for November are down compared to last year, falling 7% to $5.9 billion.

Circana said the drop-off was due in part to hardware spending falling by a massive 24%, with game sales sliding 3%. For the year so far, however, spending overall in the US was up 1% across all categories, landing at $49.3 billion so far.
