Starfield - Best Weapons And How To Get Them Friv 0

Friv0 games online free See more

The Starfield best weapons are an assortment of firearms that you can acquire during your interstellar travels. Some are found as part of the main campaign, while others are obtained as you explore the 1,000+ planets and do side quests. Our guide discusses the best Starfield guns that we think would be great for your playthrough.

Bear in mind, however, that there are other factors involved, such as weapon mods and the Weapon Engineering skill. In effect, you might be able to craft better options than some of the weapons that you'd pick up. Likewise, please be reminded that this article contains spoilers.

Heller's Cutter

The Cutter is probably the single best weapon type in Starfield. That's because it's not just something you can use to damage your foes. It's also a tool that can break apart rocks and mineral nodes, integral for campaign progression as you collect artifacts and for farming resources on planets. Perhaps most importantly, the Cutter has infinite ammo. Its energy is depleted if you fire it for too long, but it also recharges over time.

You'll always have a Cutter, by default, when you start the game. As for Heller's Cutter, you can pick it up in the Vectera hab during a mission called Back to Vectera. It has the Disassembler perk, which allows it to deal +20% damage against robots.

Deadeye

The Deadeye is based on a common revolver-type weapon, but it's a unique version of it, and comes pre-packaged with mods. This revolver with ornate carvings includes the following mods: Laser Sight, Compensator, Penetrator Rounds, and Hair Trigger. You can acquire it upon joining the Freestar Collective Rangers.

Arc Welders

Cutters fire medium-range beams, but they don't deal a lot of damage. That's where Arc Welders come in. This type of weapon has higher damage and range, though it does consume ammo. You're bound to find one in the hidden base as you're doing the quest to obtain the legendary Mantis ship.

Fiscal Quarter

The Fiscal Quarter is a unique rare auto rifle, a reward once you've completed a main quest called All That Money Can Buy. It has a high rate-of-fire and the following mods: Short Scope, Compensator, Tactical Grip, Armor-piercing Rounds, and Hair Trigger. Moreover, its unique perk, Shattering, allows bullets to break through even the strongest armor.

Experiment A-7

Even though the Experiment A-7 is just a rare shotgun, we also think it's one of the best weapons in Starfield. Apart from having a decent range (for a shotgun), it packs a whopping eight mods: Long Barrel, Laser Sight, Reflex Sight, Choke, Tactical Stock, Flechette Rounds, Hair Trigger, and Fully Automatic.

Moreover, the Experiment A-7 has the Exterminator perk, which grants +30% damage against aliens. This gun can be yours during the Entangled main mission, which is fitting due to all the nasty alien bugs that you'll encounter.

Unmitigated Violence

The Unmitigated Violence can be yours if you do the following:

  • Unearthed mission - At the end of this quest, you're given the option to side with the Emissary or Hunter. You have to choose the Emissary here.
  • Revelation mission - In the last quest of the campaign, you'll face the Hunter as the final boss. Defeat him and pick up this weapon.

The Unmitigated Violence is a legendary laser rifle that has several mods, as well as three perks:

  • Frenzy - Small chance to frenzy the target.
  • Radioactive - Randomly deals radioactive damage and demoralizes the target.
  • Instigating - Deals double damage to targets at full health.

Eternity's Gate

The Eternity's Gate also comes from a Starborn opponent. However, if you want to obtain it, you need to side with the Hunter in the Unearthed mission. That means you have to defeat the Emissary to complete the Revelation quest later on. This armament is your reward after defeating your foe.

The Eternity's Gate is a legendary particle beam rifle, which happens to deal both physical and energy damage. It has the following perks:

  • Skip Shot - Every fourth shot fires two projectiles at once.
  • Handloading - Volatile rounds that pack a bigger punch, but aren't as stable and fail on occasion.
  • Anti-Personnel - +10% damage against humans.

Take note that there's also a third choice in Unearthed, where you side with neither Starborn. That means you can battle both the Hunter and Emissary in Revelation, the climactic conclusion of the campaign. Alternatively, you can convince the two to stand down peacefully, though you won't receive their armaments.

Speaking of Starborn weapons, bear in mind that all items, including weapons, aren't carried over to your New Game Plus playthrough. However, you can acquire some high-end goodies from the Starborn Trader once you meet them.
