Where To Stream Every Fast & Furious Movie Ahead Of Fast X Friv 0

Friv0 games online free See more

Fast X is here, and so is the beginning of the end for the main thread of the Fast & Furious movie franchise. It's been a very long and bumpy road for these movies since the original was released in 2001--the franchise didn't blow up until the fifth movie, and then one of the two main series leads died when they were halfway through filming the seventh one. Now, Fast X is kicking off the final act of the series, with a new story thread that will, somehow, take us to the end of this whole thing.

That means there's no better time to refresh yourself on the extensive history of Dominic Toretto and his #family. Below you'll find all the details about where you can stream each of the previous main Fast & Furious films, as well as the spinoff Hobbs & Shaw, so you can make sure you're emotionally and mentally ready for the wild ride (or rides) to come.

Though you won't find every entry of the series on one streaming service, you'll find almost all of them on Hulu Live, DirecTV, or Sling, and two of the most recent movies can be watched on HBO Max and Peacock. Another option is to get this Fast & Furious 9-Movie Collection for cheap.

The Fast and the Furious (2001)

The original film may be quaint by the current standards of the series--the budget on this one was a couple hundred million dollars less than what the more recent movies get--but every major thematic throughline for the series began here in this story of an undercover cop infiltrating a gang of highway robbers. Including, and maybe especially, that whole #family thing.

The Fast and the Furious is available for streaming on demand through three live TV services: DirecTV, Sling and Hulu with Live TV. And it can be rented from any digital retailer.

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

Vin Diesel was absent for the first sequel, but in his place we got Tyrese Gibson's Roman and Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges' Tej, who have become staples and fan favorites of the series. And even now, Brian and Roman ramping a Dodge Charger onto a moving yacht at the end remains one of the most ridiculous stunts of the series.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)

Justin Lin has directed five of these movies, and the first of them was Tokyo Drift--which contained no characters from the previous movies aside from a Vin Diesel cameo at the very end. It performed poorly at the box office when it was released (unsurprising given that lack of star power), but it's become a low-key franchise favorite in recent years because it's actually just a really good movie in its own right.

Fast & Furious (2009)

The fourth film was also the first true direct sequel to the original, with Vin Diesel reuniting with Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster for a small-scale revenge thriller. This was the last of these movies to have a budget under $100 million.

Fast Five (2011)

This was where the series really changed. They had their biggest budget ever and pulled in several popular past supporting characters from each of the previous four movies for a big ensemble team-up--a year before Marvel's Avengers hit theaters.

Fast Five is available for streaming on demand through three live TV services: DirecTV, Sling and Hulu with Live TV. And it can be rented from any digital retailer.

Fast & Furious 6 (2013)

With the team assembled in the last one, Fast & Furious 6 was the movie that defined the current look of the series--the crew does mercenary work on behalf of government folks, but things quickly turn personal and get all the way out of control. There's something special about this one in particular, though, because it was also the last one that Paul Walker was in all the way through--he died during production on the following movie.

Fast & Furious 6 is available through three live TV services: DirecTV, Sling and Hulu with Live TV. And it can be rented from any digital retailer.

Furious 7 (2015)

A bit of an uneven experience because of Paul Walker's death during production--the climactic action sequence was shot with his brother in his place, and you can feel the difference. But at the same time, director James Wan put together some of the best action of the series, and the touching, fourth-wall breaking dedication to Walker at the end remains as powerful as ever.

Furious 7 is available for streaming on Universal's Peacock streaming service, as well as on demand through three live TV services: DirecTV, Sling and Hulu with Live TV. And it can be rented from any digital retailer.

The Fate of the Furious (2017)

While a number of fans took issue with certain story decisions in the eighth movie, director F. Gary Gray crafted what currently stands as the best action of the series--that street race in Cuba is the sickest opening sequence of any of these movies, and the rest of the movie managed to maintain that level of quality of action throughout.

The Fast & the Furious Presents: Hobs & Shaw (2019)

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jason Statham briefly took their show on the road in their own spin-off movie, which had all the wild and over-the-top car action you expect from this franchise while also giving Johnson and Statham plenty of time to beat the crap out of people.

Hobbs & Shaw is not available to stream with any subscription service and must be rented from a digital retailer.

F9: The Fast Saga

Dominic Toretto has made many references to his offscreen blood family in the past, but his sister had been the only one around in the present. This time, however, Dom's brother Jakob (John Cena) emerges from the shadows to be the film's villain, and we get plenty of flashbacks to the circumstance surrounding their father's death decades before. It was a new level of depth for the series.

F9: The Fast Saga is available for streaming on HBO Max and Peacock, as well as on demand on DirecTV and as a rental from any digital retailer.
