Friv0 games online free See more

Considering that it's easy to install the Epic Games Launcher on Steam Deck, any big sale at Epic can lead to some great, cheap Steam Deck finds. Epic's annual Mega Sale is live now, and there are plenty of budget-friendly deals that are worth checking out. If you don't own a Steam Deck, the games on this list can, of course, be enjoyed on a regular desktop PC or laptop, too.

For the purpose of this list, we've only included games that are $20 or less during the Mega Sale. The Mega Sale also includes a coupon promotion. All Epic users have received a 25% off coupon that can be used on any game priced $15 and up. The coupons are unlimited, so once you use one, a new coupon will be added to your account.

You have four weeks to shop the deals, and you'll also have the chance to snag four notable free games during the sale. The first freebie is Borderlands 3, which is available to claim now.

Disco Elysium

$14 ($40)

Disco Elysium is one of the best RPGs in recent memory. It earned a rare 10/10 in our Disco Elysium review. Needless to say, $14 is a steal for a riveting RPG that will keep you busy for dozens of hours.

Salt and Sacrifice

$15 ($20) with Epic coupon

We're cheating a bit on this one. Salt and Sacrifice isn't actually on sale, but you can use the 25% off coupon toward it, which means you can snag the brand-new release for 15 bucks.

Coromon

$16 ($20)

Coromon is a Pokemon-inspired RPG with gorgeous pixelated graphics that released earlier this year. If you like the monster catching and training loop, you should definitely check it out. You can save an additional 25% with the coupon, too.

Risk of Rain 2

$12.49 ($25)

Risk of Rain 2 is a great third-person shooter with roguelike systems. It's one of the better games in the crowded roguelike genre, and it's especially good when playing alongside friends.

XCOM 2

$6 ($60)

XCOM 2 is one of the best turn-based strategy games of all time. It's only six bucks at Epic right now.

Othercide

$13.49 ($30)

If you've already played XCOM 2, consider checking out Othercide, a turn-based game with an interesting story and clever combat systems. Othercide has flown under the radar since its Summer 2020 release, but it's definitely worth playing. We gave it an 8/10 in our Othercide review.

Rogue Legacy 2

$15 ($25) with Epic coupon

The recently released Rogue Legacy 2 improves on the already-great foundation from the original. It's a stellar side-scrolling roguelike, and you can get it for only $15 with the help of Epic's 25% off coupon.

Paradise Killer

$12 ($20)

Paradise Killer is an incredibly well-realized murder mystery with brilliant writing and world-building. It's a can't-miss experience for those who like their games with captivating stories.

FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch

$17 ($30) with Epic coupon

You need to use the 25% off coupon to get this one for under $20, but we wanted to mention it here because FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch is a criminally underappreciated metroidvania. It released last fall right before the big holiday game rush. If you like metroidvanias, you shouldn't miss out on this one.

Nexomon: Extinction

$14 ($20)

Nexomon: Extinction is another Pokemon-esque RPG. Nexomon wears its inspiration on its sleeve, but it's still an impressive entry in the genre. Plus, if you think Pokemon games are a bit too easy, you'll appreciate the challenge here. There are more than 300 Nexomon to catch and train, so you can spend dozens of hours with this charming adventure.

Spectacular Sparky

$10.49 ($15)

Spectacular Sparky is an ode to 16-bit action-platformers. It has over-the-top combat and absurd monsters to slay. Plus, you play as a silly bunny who works as a bounty hunter.

Alan Wake Remastered

$15 ($30) with Epic coupon

Remedy Entertainment's Alan Wake is a gripping action-adventure game about a writer searching for his missing wife. Alan Wake has held up remarkably well after all of these years. It's worth revisiting at this price even if you played the original.

The Surge

$3.74 ($15)

The Surge is an action-RPG set in a dystopian, high-tech world. You play as a dude who wakes up wearing an armored exoskeleton. His new suit comes in handy considering that robots and nefarious AI are trying to kill him. Combat-wise, The Surge has a Souls-like vibe to it, though it's more forgiving. For less than four bucks, it's definitely worth checking out.

Toem

$12 ($20)

Toem is a breezy lighthearted adventure about taking photographs. It's a gorgeous game with hand-drawn visuals, and the world is filled with charming characters.

Axiom Verge 2

$13.50 ($20) with Epic coupon

The challenging sequel to the breakout metroidvania released last summer. It hasn't been on sale very often, so if you're in the mood for a retro-style side-scroller with grueling combat, Axiom Verge 2 is worth picking up.

Death's Door

$14 ($20)

Death's Door is a clever Zelda-like action-adventure with a cool premise, well-designed dungeons, and exciting boss battles. It was one of the best indie games of 2021.

Sunless Sea

$6.45 ($19)

Sunless Sea is a haunting survival game that sees you captain a Victorian ship across an underground sea. It's a narrative-focused experience filled with mysterious characters and frights that keep the loop interesting even after many failed voyages.

Super Meat Boy Forever

$8.59 ($20)

While not a true sequel to Super Meat Boy from a gameplay perspective, Super Meat Boy Forever is nonetheless a challenging and enjoyable automatic runner that manages to retain the precision platforming and snappy level design of the original.

Immortals Fenyx Rising

$15 ($60) with Epic coupon

Immortals Fenyx Rising is a lighthearted action game in the vein of The Legend of Zelda. It holds your hand a bit too much at times, but it has humorous writing, fun combat, and a colorful open world that's fun to explore.

Carrion

$12 ($20)

Carrion is an interesting horror game, because it places you in the role of the monster. Dubbed a "reverse horror" game, you roam a facility as a terrifying red blob with many, many tentacles that can tear humans apart with ease.
