Best Armor In The Elder Scrolls Online Friv 0

Friv0 games online free See more

One of the most exciting aspects of The Elder Scrolls Online is finding new gear to don as you start to truly level up. At the beginning of the game, you'll likely be decked out in random pieces of armor you scrounged from dead enemies and bought for pennies on the dollar at some vendor's shop. However, as you keep progressing through the main story of the game or through a specific expansion, you'll begin to unlock new pieces of armor.

While these pieces won't match most of the time, you can start to research their different traits. This will eventually allow you to start crafting even more powerful armor that can eventually be turned into a set. Of course, the different classes in The Elder Scrolls Online require you to utilize various traits and specific armor. In order to see which armor set is best for your individual character, you can read below. Each class will have at least one armor set that's considered one of the best ESO. Here are our picks for the best armor sets in Elder Scrolls Online.

Best armor sets for Sorcerers

The Sorcerer class is among the most popular in ESO because, well, who wouldn't want to traipse across the lands of Skyrim or Morrowind as a Magicka-adept hero (or villain)? Sorcerers tend to wear light armor in ESO and the set that players want to use will increase their overall Magicka or Spell Critical stat. There are two armor sets that Sorcerers should go for above others.

  1. Law of Julianos - This set aims to increase the Spell Critical stat for Sorcerers. For players unaware, this allows you to deal more critical hits with the spells you cast. If you equip two items from this set, the Spell Critical stat will be increased. Additionally, equipping four items will further increase the stat. For three items, players will see their base Magicka increased while equipping all five items will boost Spell Damage. Players can craft this set if they have knowledge of six traits for each piece of armor.
  2. Mother's Sorrow - One of the most common sets for Sorcerers is Mother's Sorrow. All players have to do is equip two items to increase their maximum Magicka while any subsequent piece equipped will boost Spell Critical. Players can find this set in Deshaan by doing Dark Anchors, Delves, Public Dungeons, and defeating world bosses.

Best armor sets for Dragonknights

The Dragonknight is one of the best beginner classes in ESO and thus, one of the most used. While more advanced players will eventually create another character, the Dragonknight is some players' only class in the game. If this is the case, those players will need the top armor sets. The Dragonknight traditionally uses heavy armor but players can also get away with using medium armor if they have the proper armor set equipped.

  1. Ebon Armory - This is the most common armor set that most Dragonknights will equip at some point in ESO. It mainly increases maximum Health, but also boosts Healing Taken if players equip four items from the set and increases Health for party members if players max out at five items. Not only does Ebon Armory provide terrific healing boosts that make the Dragonknight a full-blown tank, but it also looks fantastic when fully put together. Players can earn this set by running the Crypt of Hearts I and II Dungeons.
  2. Kinra's Wrath - Unlike Ebon Armory, this set is mainly for players looking to increase their DPS with the Dragonknight. Players who equip two items from the set will gain a boosted Weapon Damage, which is further boosted at four items. Equipping more times will increase light and heavy attack damage by applying Burning Heart to enemies. Burning Heart can stack up to five times, at which point players will be granted Major Berserk and party members will be granted Minor Berserk. Kinras's Wrath can be found at Black Drake Villa.

Best armor sets for Necromancers

A class like no other, the Necromancer has some flexibility in what kind of armor they equip. Necromancers are a popular solo class, and those players will need the top-tier armor sets so they can survive what's thrown at them in ESO.

  1. Mother's Sorrow - This set carries over from the best Sorcerer armor set and there's good reason for that. Necromancers use a ton of Magicka to raise an army of the dead, and Mother's Sorrow grants a boost to maximum Magicka with enough pieces equipped. Spell Critical is also increased so players will hit harder when they decide to attack an enemy themselves and not have an undead ally do it for them.
  2. Hunding's Rage - This set opts for a more strategic approach to dealing damage. Players can equip two or four pieces from the set to increase the Weapon Critical stat, while three items boosts maximum Stamina. Finally, five items increase overall Weapon Damage. Equipping Hunding's Rage allows players to be more of a DPS character that can run around enemies and deal damage with different kinds of attacks. Players can craft this set if they have six Traits learned.

Best armor sets for Wardens

The Warden is the newest class in ESO but it is not to be trifled with. Wardens are keen on using animals around them to deal damage along with utilizing both Magicka and other kinds of attacks. Magicka and Stamina armor sets are both viable for the Warden depending on what kind of character players want to be. With this in mind, players should experiment with both Magicka and Stamina armor sets to see which they like better.

  1. Perfected Arms of Relequen - We'll start off with a build focused around Stamina and overall damage. This armor set can increase Weapon Critical and maximum Stamina. Equipping three items will also grant players Minor Slayer. At five items, players will gain an increase in their physical damage with light and heavy attacks. Perfected Arms of Relequen can be found through the Mini-Trial in the Cloudrest location of Summerset.
  2. Mother's Sorrow - Mother's Sorrow makes yet another appearance, as it's simply one of the best Magicka-based armor sets in The Elder Scrolls Online. Players can utilize this set as a Warden by gaining a boost to maximum Magicka so they can cast more spells and call in more beasts to fight for them.

Best armor sets for Templars

The main healing class in ESO, the Templar has a few different options when it comes to armor sets. Players can opt for a full healing armor set or go with a more mixed choice. Either way, there are some great options with the Templar, and players should experiment with being a full-fledged DPS or healer, and then trying to be a mix of the two.

  1. Sentinel of Rkugamz - This set plays into the healing role more so than the DPS. One item equipped from this set increases Healing Done while additional pieces grant players the ability to call in a Dwemer Spider that heals you and party members and even restores Magicka and Stamina. Players can pick up this armor set as a drop from enemies in the Darkshade Caverns I Dungeon.
  2. Armor of the Seducer - The Armor of the Seducer is more suited for a Magicka-based DPS Templar than a healer. It increases maximum Magicka as well as boosts Magicka Regen speed. Finally, the full set bonus reduces the cost of casting Magicka spells by 10%. This is a fantastic armor set for a Templar that's looking to utilize Magicka while also not totally abandoning their healing capabilities. Players can craft this set as long as they've learned six Traits.

Best armor sets for Nightblades

The last class in ESO is the Nightblade. This is a DPS player's class, with the Nightblade able to deal damage using either Magicka or Stamina. As such, there are a couple of different ways players can go in regards to their armor set. If players opt for Magicka, they will mainly be using light or medium armor sets while Stamina builds almost exclusively use medium armor sets.

  1. Arms of Relequen - This set is a medium armor set that boosts a player's Weapon Critical along with granting the Minor Slayer buff. The main boon to using the Arms of Relequen set, though, is the stack of Harmful Winds that players will gain if they hit an enemy with five pieces of the set equipped. This buff deals damage over time as long as players continually hit their target. Players can also go for the aforementioned Perfected Arms of Relequen set if they want a bigger boost to Stamina. Both sets are found in Cloudrest.
  2. Briarheart - The Briarheart armor set utilizes one of the most underrated parts of the Nightblade class: healing. The class has an entire skill tree dedicated to healing, and this set helps players take advantage of it. With enough pieces equipped, players will gain a self-healing ability along with boosting their Weapon Critical and Stamina. This is a terrific class for solo players, as the self-heal ability can save your life more than one time. Players can find the Briarheart set in the overland of Wrothgar.
