Spooky season is upon us

Netflix made a pretty interesting movie release announcement for October. It's a new interactive film featuring WWE's The New Day (Big E, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston) and the Undertaker. Titled Escape The Undertaker, the movie arrives on October 5.

"In this interactive film featuring WWE superstars, The Undertaker has set a trap for the decorated tag team The New Day at his mansion," reads the official description from Netflix. "What they don't know: The Undertaker's mansion is an extreme Haunted House, packed to the brim with supernatural challenges. It's up to viewers to decide the fate of these three poor souls trying to survive the wrath of The Undertaker."

Why has the Undertaker set up a trap for the New Day? Why is he trying to harm them? The answers at this time are completely unknown. There has yet to be a trailer for the movie or any details outside of the synopsis and a few photos that have been released. So we're going to do what we do best, look at these photos and make wild guesses about what's going on in this upcoming interactive movie.

Below, you'll find the new photos for Netflix's Escape The Undertaker and our guesses as to what's going on.

The Undertaker's man cave

In my years of being a wrestling fan, I never thought I would see the Undertaker on a computer. That's just not an image that sits with me. However, Netflix has raised the stakes and put Undertaker on a bunch of laptops and computers in some bizarre, sinister control room.

Or maybe the Undertaker is one of those folks who collects old technology, since most of the electronics in there are from the '70s, the '80s, the '90s, and beyond. The lighting could be a bit better here too--how is Undertaker know what he's typing on his keyboard?

Or quite possibly, was The Undertaker behind the hacking of Smackdown last year, which led to Retribution? Was the Deadman truly Mustafa Ali's puppet master?

Chokeslam these computers to hell

A short-haired Undertaker stares at a screen, very intensely. He wears his hat in his own escape house, even when alone. Apparently, he only takes it off in the ring. This would have been a perfect time to bring back the mask he wore in 1995 when he broke his orbital bone. Hopefully, this interactive movie has a few Easter eggs to the wrestler's past.

Speaking of Easter eggs...

Is that Undertaker's urn?--it is. That belongs in a museum. Are the New Day trying to return the urn to a museum? It looks like there's some sharp points on the pedestal it's sitting on, so it could be a trap. I wonder if they're actually shooting in "Mean" Mark "The Undertaker" Calaway's home here--as The Last Ride documentary did, and it all looks pretty familiar.

Big E is thinking about the five count

E, Xavier, and Kofi are staring something or someone down. We need to give a shoutout to the person that designed these jumpers for the guys. They're fantastic.

The Undertaker is a blacksmith now

Now, the image of the New Day looking perplexed above makes more sense. They've come across The Undertaker--who has no casual wear whatsoever--working as a blacksmith. Why does this room have so much fog in it? Maybe Undertaker needs to have his HVAC system inspected because that's not normal.

Undertaker spends most of his days lighting candles

Here, we've come face-to-face with Taker, who is sitting on his own stone throne, surrounded by candles. It must be pretty cold in his house, considering all the leather he's wearing. But once again, there's probably an issue with his HVAC system. Maybe the air ducts need to be cleaned or the furnace needs to be replaced. Or maybe Taker is one of those guys who doesn't want to use his furnace too often to save on heating bills, and thus, cutting his carbon footprint. The Undertaker is a greater hero than we originally thought.

Anyway, Netflix's Escape The Undertaker arrives on October 5, and I plan on watching the Choose Your Own Adventure-esque movie more times than I watched Bandersnatch--which was a lot.
