Friv0 games online free See more

Steam's Lunar New Year Sale just kicked off today, but you don't have a lot of time to browse the deals. The sale ends on February 15 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. To help you find some good games to pick up for the upcoming long weekend, we've rounded up some of the most notable deals below. The Lunar New Year Sale isn't nearly as massive as some of the other annual Steam sales, but there are still plenty of excellent deals worth checking out.

Cyberpunk 2077

$54 (10% off)

Cyberpunk 2077 met with some criticism at launch, and while it’s still full of bugs and issues, it provides an exciting RPG adventure through Night City, full of lovable friends and deplorable villains that won’t soon leave your heart after finishing the game. While you play a predetermined character named V, there are a lot of ways to customize your experience, from your appearance to the way you tackle jobs and quests. You can take the stealth approach, hacking your way into restricted areas and taking out baddies silently; the melee approach, wielding a variety of brutal melee weapons to take on your enemies face-to-face; or the guns-blazing approach and shoot everything that moves. There are numerous ways to approach each situation, and using the character you’ve evolved to do so is satisfying to see in action. -- Mat Paget

Raft

$13.39 (33% off)

Raft is a survival game with a very simple premise: You’re on a raft, and you need to make it bigger. Starting off with a small square platform, you’ll need to fish for floating resources to survive and grow your new home. That means building out the raft in addition to crafting grills, water purifiers, beds, and more. Thankfully, you don’t have to do it alone and can start a raft adventure with your friends. The experience can be tough at times, but with a lot of hard work and perseverance, you can survive the harsh ocean and build yourself a floating utopia. -- Mat Paget

Hades

$20 (25% off)

Being the Lord of the Underworld’s son is tough. Hades puts you in the shoes of Zagreus, son of the titular god, as he attempts to escape his death-ridden home and reach the surface world. You’ll die a lot, but each run will get you closer to your goal as you unlock new skills and weapons to assist you. While the action is immensely enjoyable, it’s Hades’ characters and story that will hook you. Talking to each of your friends in between runs helps you learn more about the underworld, Zagreus, and their own pasts. And Zagreus’ personal story is riveting enough to keep you heading into the dangerous wilds of the Underworld to see it to its end. -- Mat Paget

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom

$9.59 (84% off)

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is an absolute steal for less than $10. The 2018 action-RPG expands on the themes and promise of Wrath of the White Witch to deliver a strong experience with a ton of variety. Since Ni no Kuni II is set hundreds of years after its predecessor, you don’t need to play that one first to enjoy Revenant Kingdom. You play as Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, a young boy king who must create his own kingdom after being ousted from his own. Revenant Kingdom’s Studio Ghibli-style visuals and animations stand out at first glance, but where the game truly excels is in its combat, which relies heavily on strategy and making quick-witted decisions. Revenant Kingdom also adds a real-time strategy and management component when it comes to building the new kingdom from the ground up. -- Steven Petite

Tabletop Simulator

$10 / $30 for 4-pack (50% off)

Tabletop Simulator is the solution for having digital board game nights during these pandemic times. It's a physics sandbox that allows you to recreate and play tabletop games as if you were all sitting around the table in person, and there are currently over 40,000 fan-made creations in the Tabletop Simulator workshop that you can play through, like Bloodborne: The Board Game, Root, Catan, and much more. While it might seem janky at first, Tabletop Simulator is remarkably intuitive to use, letting you actually move pieces around on the board, flip cards, roll dice, and watch your friends make their moves in real-time. Though certainly not everything in the Tabletop Simulator workshop is high-quality, all of the best board games have very polished mods at this point, and they're completely free after you own the base game. Tabletop Simulator doesn't get cheaper than this either, and if you're playing with friends, we recommend grabbing the four-pack since everyone will need a copy. -- Jenae Sitzes

Yakuza: Like a Dragon

$42 (30% off)

Yakuza: Like a Dragon was one of our favorite games of 2020. It takes the franchise in a new direction by changing from action to turn-based combat with great success. This move also winds up helping the story, as the party-based system enhances the relationships between the characters. Like a Dragon also is quite funny and silly, which is what we've come to expect from the series. If you like turn-based RPGs with gripping and heartfelt stories, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is an excellent choice at $42. -- Steven Petite

Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive edition

$18 (60% off)

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is one of the best RPGs to release in recent years. It nabbed a rare 10/10 in our Divinity: Original 2 review, so needless to say, we recommend scooping this one up. If you like customization in your role-playing games, look no further. Divinity: Original Sin 2 has an expansive character creator and a dizzying number of skills abilities to choose from to create your preferred build. The strategic turn-based combat is thrilling and requires deep planning and smart decisions to succeed. It also has a gorgeous and massive world that is filled with activities to keep you playing for many dozens, if not hundreds, of hours. At $18, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a bargain. -- Steven Petite

Carrion

$13.39 (33% off)

Carrion was one of the most interesting indie games to release last year. Published by Devolver Digital, it’s a “reverse-horror” game where you play as a tentacled monster that grows by eating the humans that are holding you captive in a research facility. While it’s certainly fun and rather comical to sneak up on and devour unsuspecting humans, Carrion also has some clever puzzles. It has more depth than you’d initially expect, making it a great and unique game to play over a weekend. -- Steven Petite

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

$8 (80% off)

The Witcher 3 is one of the best RPGs of all time, thanks to its excellent story and quests, incredible characters, and engaging action. The base game, Wild Hunt, is full of content that will keep you busy for dozens of hours as Geralt searches for his adopted-daughter Ciri throughout the lands of Novigrad, Skellige, and more. The base game is available for $8 on Steam during the Lunar New Year sale, but if you want to experience the full breadth of The Witcher 3, then you’ll want to snag the Game of the Year edition, which includes the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions. Both take you to new areas of The Witcher’s world, including the gorgeous region of Toussaint, and are well worth your time if you enjoy the base game. -- Mat Paget

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

$20 (50% off)

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is on sale for only 20 bucks during the Lunar New Year sale, which is a great price for one of the better Star Wars games in recent memory. Fallen Order takes place five years after the events of Revenge of the Sith when Jedi must stay hidden. It stars Cal Kestis, a young Jedi Padawan who gets in the crosshairs of the Galactic Empire. Fallen Order’s combat is stylish but not too over-the-top, which helps keep it strategic and engaging throughout the lengthy adventure. The story and characters are particularly strong, making it worthy of the Star Wars name. -- Steven Petite

Control Ultimate Edition

$24 (40% off)

Control's Ultimate Edition is down to just $24 in the Lunar New Year sale, a steal for the amount of content you get. Control was one of 2019's best games, following a woman named Jesse Faden who enters a mysterious federal facility that's in the middle of a bizarre paranormal lockdown and discovers things are even stranger than they appear. The Ultimate Edition also gets you Control's two content expansions, "The Foundation" and "AWE," as well as a new game mode and photo mode. Control is one of the most impressive games released in recent years, and the Ultimate Edition is well worth it at this price if you have a high-end PC that can run it well. -- Jenae Sitzes

Total War: Three Kingdoms

$30 (50% off)

Three Kingdoms is one of the most recent mainline Total War games, and it happens to be a very good one, featuring a campaign that's faithful to the story material as well as larger-than-life skirmishes and fully featured Chinese audio and subtitle options. It's set during the Three Kingdoms period of China, and you'll control one of 12 factions, aiming to unify China and come out on top as the supreme ruler. For $30, Total: War: Three Kingdoms is a great pickup for turn-based strategy fans, and if you enjoy the base game, it has multiple pieces of DLC available on sale as well. -- Jenae Sitzes
