Another week, another side quest! On The Mandalorian Season 2, Episode 4, AKA Chapter 12, AKA "The Siege," Baby Yoda started sixth grade while Din Djarin reunited with some old acquaintances and infiltrated an Imperial remnant base.
Mando learned some important factoids this time around--ones that we've been guessing at since Season 1. Specifically, the Imperial forces who sought The Child all those episodes ago wanted to use his Force-powered blood for some nefarious purpose. But even more importantly, this episode finally answered the crucial question, "Did delicious French macarons exist a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away?" The answer, of course, is yes. And Baby Yoda ate too many of them and threw up.
Now that we have that information, keep reading for more Easter eggs, references, and other gooey nuggets of Star Wars-ey goodness in our breakdown of The Mandalorian Chapter 12, "The Siege."

1. The kid loves his soup
Early on in the episode, after Baby Yoda fails at being a master electrician, he's seen sipping soup next to Mando. It calls back to the Season 1 scene from Chapter 4, in which The Child sipped soup while watching Mando and Cara Dune fighting upon meeting.v
2. Mando almost breaks his rule
Mando never takes off his helmet in front of people, or so he says. Here he can be seen opening his helmet to join The Child in eating soup. We only see part of his jaw, but this feels like it's bending the Mandalorian rules.
3. Aqualish
The Armorer's lair on Nevarro is seen being looted by Aqualish. This species from the planet Ando first appeared in A New Hope -- you may recall Ponda Baba, an Aqualish criminal who got his arm cut off by Obi-Wan Kenobi in Mos Eisley Cantina.
4. Cara Dune returns
Cara Dune (Gina Carano) hasn't been seen since the Season 1 finale of the series. Now she's known as the Marshal on Nevarro, which immediately brought to mind Timothy Olyphant's character from the Season 2 premiere, "Chapter 9: The Marshal."
5. And there's Greef Karga
Greef Karga also makes his return in this episode, after last appearing in Chapter 8. Actor Carl Weathers is also the director of this episode. An agent of the Bounty Hunters' Guild in Season 1, it seems that since the finale he's teamed up with Cara Dune to clean up Nevarro with the goal of making it a safe planet.
6. Class is in session
Leading the class of children that Mando dumps Baby Yoda in is a protocol droid. These droids specialize in translation, cultural customs, and etiquette. Of course, the most notable protocol droid in Star Wars lore is C-3PO.
7. An exposition droid
The protocol droid teacher also drops a lot of information on its students, mentioning actual Star Wars locations like the Hydian Way, Coruscant, Chandrila, and Akkadese Maelstrom, which is in the Kessel sector. Han Solo's legendary Kessel Run took him through Maelstrom.
8. Macarons
These blue space cookies were actually "macarons," a delicious french delicacy.
9. Mythrol
Mythrol (Horatio Sanz) returns, after we last saw him getting frozen in carbonite on the Razor Crest back in Chapter 1. Mando brought him in as a bounty, and now it seems he's paying off his life debt by working for Greef Carga.
10. Frozen in carbonite
"I don't wanna spend any more time in carbonite," Mythrol tells Mando, Cara, and Greef. As we saw in Chapter 1, he's very familiar with the type of punishment Han Solo was once subjected to.
11. Cool landspeeder, bro
All the ships in the galaxy and this group ends up cruising across the planet on Mythrol's landspeeder.
12. Dank Farrik--again
While it wasn't said often last year, The Mandalorian really seems fond of the phrase "dank farrik" in Season 2. This is the third time it's been said. We still aren't sure exactly what it means.
13. Code Cylinder
Code cylinders, which have also been referred to as data cylinders, coded rank cylinders, and coded key cylinders, are security devices containing coded information used by the Empire and later also used by the First Order. They have appeared throughout the franchise, dating back to A New Hope.
14. Dr. Pershing
Mythril activates a hologram recording of Dr. Pershing, who we last saw in Chapter 3 performing tests on The Child. Pershing is a doctor and scientist working for the Empire, who apparently has been injecting The Child's blood into test subjects since we last saw him.
15. Midi-chlorians
Dr. Pershing is sending a message to Moff Gideon about M-counts in the blood of his test subjects. This is a direct reference to midi-chlorians, the cells in blood that indicate Force sensitivity. The concept of midi-chlorians was first introduced in The Phantom Menace.
16. A space motorcycle chase
If you were hoping to see scout troopers on speeder bikes this week, you're in luck. A number of them give chase to Cara, Greef, and Mythrol--and they all end up crashing. Why? Because Imperial troops are disposable.
17. Captain Teva
Captain Carson Teva (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) of the New Republic Starfighter Corps returns this episode to question Greef Carga about the Imperial Base explosion and try to enlist Cara Dune. We last saw him in Chapter 10 working with Trapper Wolf (Dave Filoni) and confronting Mando.
18. "This isn't Coruscant"
When Mythrol mentions that the planet they're on isn't Coruscant, he's referencing the planet that was home to the Jedi temple.
19. The Core Worlds
Carson Teva tells Cara "They don't believe it on the Core Worlds, but it's true." The Core Worlds, also known as the Galactic Core, Coruscant Core, and Core systems, is the part of the galaxy with some of the wealthiest planets, such as Coruscant.
20. Cara Dune -- Space cop
When Teva bids Cara farewell, he leaves behind a New Republic badge. She may be a marshal on Nevarro, but perhaps her destiny is to become a real space cop with the New Republic.
21. Dark Troopers
We got a better idea of what Moff Gideon's plan is and it's not pretty. The end of the episode sees an army of Dark Trooper suits ready to be deployed. The Dark Troopers were an experimental program first introduced in the video game Star Wars: Dark Forces, which is now considered non-canon in Star Wars. However, they also appeared in the mobile game Star Wars: Commander which is, for some reason, canon.
What's more, the lab technician in the scene is wearing a coat with the insignia for the Imperial Department of Military Research, which was first mentioned in 1989 in the Star Wars roleplaying game.
