Every console manufacturer hosts its own digital game deals sale for Black Friday, and this year is no different. Nintendo has now kicked off the Nintendo Switch eShop Cyber Deals sale, which spans both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It runs through December 2, coming to an end at 11:59 PM PT (2:59 AM ET on December 3), giving you more than a week to browse the many deals you can now find on the eShop.

It's a good opportunity to stock up on some of the Nintendo Switch's best games at a discount. Significant sales on first-party games, and digital Switch games in general, are still not terribly commonplace, and you'll generally pay more for eShop versions. If you're simply looking for the cheapest prices, head over to our look at the best Black Friday Switch deals, where you'll also find sales on physical editions of games. But, of course, you might enjoy the convenience of digital games--something that's particularly nice on a portable system like Switch. Just make sure you have some space set aside, or keep an eye out for deals on microSD cards for Black Friday.

Read on for a look at a selection of the very best deals you'll find on the eShop for Black Friday 2020.

Hades

$20 (was $25)

One of the big hits of the year, Hades is a terrific roguelike that incorporates a compelling story as you play, giving you something new to look forward to whether you have a successful run or fall short (and you will, over and over). With a stellar soundtrack and voice cast to boot, it's easily one of the best Switch games of the year, with plans for cross-save support still to come so that you can move back and forth between the Switch and PC versions.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

$40 (was $60)

This remake of the classic Game Boy Zelda game was one of Nintendo's major game releases in 2019, and discounts on it have been uncommon. Link's Awakening on Switch boasts an adorable new art style and presents an opportunity to play one of the best Zelda adventures ever.

Cuphead

$15 (was $20)

Cuphead is best known for its distinct art style that emulates the look of 1930s cartoons, and with good reason. It's a striking presentation that really feels like playing a classic cartoon, but it combines that with tough-as-nails shooter gameplay that is well-suited to Switch. The system's portability will come in handy as you'll likely need many, many attempts to get through some of its challenging boss encounters.

Paradise Killer

$15 (was $20)

Paradise Killer may not have been on your radar among this year's game releases, but it proved to be one of the most exciting new Switch games of 2020. A detective game where you really feel like a detective, it unleashes you onto an island in a world with supernatural elements and allows you to freely explore, interrogating suspects and gathering evidence. You can head to trial at any time, but the thrill is in the level of freedom (and lack of hand-holding) that makes you genuinely feel as if you're conducting an investigation.

Dark Souls Remastered

$20 (was $40)

Perhaps all the talk about the Demon's Souls remake on PS5 has you itching for some Souls action on Switch. If so, you're in luck, as the remastered version of the first Dark Souls (From Software's follow-up to Demon's Souls) is 50% off. You'll get an improved version of the original game with the Artorias of the Abyss DLC bundled in.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

$40 (was $60)

Originally released on Wii U, Tokyo Mirage Sessions is a mashup of the Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei series. This #FE Encore version on Switch is an enhanced release with more content, including additional content and even costumes from games that have come out since Tokyo Mirage Sessions first hit, such as Persona 5.

What the Golf

$14 (was $20)

Don't be put off if you're not a fan of golf--What the Golf is very much not a traditional golf game. What might appear to be a typical mini-golf game on the first level quickly devolves into absolutely ridiculous shenanigans, including sections inspired by other games like Superhot and Portal. It's consistently hilarious and full of creative ideas that will have you clamoring to see what's next.

Mortal Kombat 11

$15 (was $50)

Tons of new DLC has been released for Mortal Kombat 11, but the base game was already packed with things to do. $15 gets you that full experience, complete with its story mode, online multiplayer, Towers of Time (with an ever-rotating array of challenges), and customization systems. If you like what you see, the Aftermath expansion is discounted to $20 (from $40) and adds an additional story mode and new characters, including RoboCop.

Slay the Spire

$15 (was $25)

Slay the Spire helped to inspire what's now an entire sub-genre: deck-building roguelikes. You'll start up each run with a basic set of cards and then acquire new ones--and relics that can radically alter how you operate--along the way. As a turn-based game, it's a great fit on Switch, where you can play while watching something else on your TV, though don't be surprised if you get completely absorbed into a run.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove

$20 (was $40)

Shovel Knight has expanded tremendously since its initial release, getting three additional campaigns, each with their own unique character who puts a spin on the levels from the original version, plus a competitive multiplayer mode. All of that is packed into one package in Treasure Trove, which carries a higher price than the original version, but this discount gets you everything for only $20.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition

$35 (was $50)

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a phenomenal RPG, earning a rare 10 in GameSpot's review. The Switch edition gives you that same massive experience in handheld form, and it works remarkably well on the handheld. It also includes cross-save support, letting you carry one playthrough between this version and the PC one.
