Recently, Chicago held C2E2, one of the larger comic conventions in the United States, which took place at McCormick Place just south of downtown. Over the course of three days, the show was filled with new toys, comic book creators, celebrities, and most importantly, cosplayers.
The fine folks showed up in their finest outfits paying homage to characters from Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Overwatch, and tons of cosplay from anime. Above, two cosplayers showed up as Mr. Freeze and his beloved wife Nora, who is in her giant cryogenic chamber. Speaking of cool, there were quite a few Sub-Zero cosplayers as well during the weekend, which seemed fitting as Chicago had chilly temperatures all weekend.
Here are some of the best cosplays we saw over the weekend, and if you're looking for more cosplay, make sure to check out our shots from Silicon Valley Comic-Con. And while we spent the whole C2E2 weekend trying to avoid Deadpool photobombing our pictures--this happened way too much--a star of Deadpool 2 was arrested for calling in a fake bomb threat.
